March 2007

Dear Friends and Family,

We are going back home! These two months here have gone by like a whirlwind. We apologize to anyone who we were unable to visit or talk with during this short furlough. These trips to the States are always such a blessing and encouragement to Andrei and me. Thank you all for your love and all those great hugs!

God's little miracles! It has been an honor to see God's hand move through our ministry. For over four years we have prayed for specific opportunities to work with the people of Petrosani and the neighboring cities. Just this last year we have seen many of them come to fruition. God is truly able to do all things. Seeing these "little" miracles have made it harder for Andrei and I to leave even for two short months from the mission field. Thankfully we serve a God would knows us by name and knows our thoughts and struggles. Every time we return to the States God always shows us a reason why we are here.

With all that said, as I wrote in my last newsletter, Andrei and I will have to return once again to the States starting this July for a mandatory eight months. Once again the INS has pulled us to the States to meet the 18/36 months rule for Andrei's citizenship. Andrei and I have been struggling with the seemingly needless abandonment of the mission in Romania for EIGHT months! How ridiculous! But God, loving Andrei and I so much, has shown us His plan and His reason already. About two months ago I found out that I am pregnant. WHAT?!? Haha, yep. Andrei and I are so excited about this "little" miracle growing inside of me. And it just so happens that in order to have the baby stateside we would have to return in July and then fly home to Romania around February with a 6-month-old baby! Wow! Eight months! God is so faithful!

Bible Conference. This April we are so excited to welcome a team from Southern California to put on a "Behold your God" conference in Petrosani! This conference has been a huge outreach in Africa and is now coming to Romania. This will be the first team to stay in the ministry house since the first floor has been completed! Even though the upstairs is not finished, we are excited to make it work.

The team will also be reaching out to the local church and children with VBS. The children are going to learn about God's Provision. Through this lesson the children will learn how God provided His son as a living sacrifice for our sins. PERFECT lesson for the celebration of Easter! Can you tell how excited we are, haha?!

We will also go to the orphanage to put together an Easter dinner! The Christmas dinner went so well last year we are excited to bless the children once again. I believe the team is also putting together an outdoor movie experience for the church and the orphanage. That is always a great way to bring in people to hear the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Mail. Andrei and I received a phone call from Romania a few weeks ago that we received two packages at the Romanian post office. Since we were not in the country we tried to see if someone could pick them up for us. Sadly, the law states that only the person on the package can receive the package. We were informed that they were going to send the packages back even though we fought to tell them that we would be returning to Romania in two weeks. We were so sad that this happened. I wanted to tell whoever sent those sweet packages, THANK YOU! Please know that we tried desperately to get the packages before the post office sent them back. We hope that this situation will not hinder you from sending packages to us in the future. You have no idea the encouragement and the joy mail from home brings to Andrei and me. Thank you again!

We will continue to keep you up-to-date with ministry, the team coming and our travels home. May God bless you and keep you!

In HIS service, Andrei and Kelle Andries
